CHILDREN’S SEDATION DENTISTRY BOZEMAN
Making Each Child’s Visit More Comfortable

Sedation dentistry is a safe and valuable resource for children suffering from dental anxiety. Visiting the dentist should not be a troubling experience, which is why our use of laser dentistry, nitrous oxide, and general anesthesia can help alleviate your child’s worries and relax them during essential treatment. A thorough discussion of your child's medical history is required to help our dentists determine whether dental sedation can be safely administered. You are welcome to call our office to ask about our available options.

General Anesthesia (Sleep Dentistry)

General anesthesia, or sleep dentistry, is used when complex dental procedures arise or a patient experiences extreme dental anxiety. Designed to fully sedate your child during treatment, we are pleased to have an in-house board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist who will administer the sedation and closely monitor your child’s vitals. This ensures they remain safe and comfortable throughout their visit, never feeling any pain or anxiety from the moment the procedure begins.
Nitrous Oxide

Milder than general anesthesia is nitrous oxide, or laughing gas. It is considered a popular method of sedation because of how quickly it takes effect. It begins working immediately, helping your child enter a more relaxed state while remaining unbothered by the events during their appointment. With its effects fading quickly once the gas is turned off, your child will be safe to resume normal activities after leaving our office.
